Fishing on Upper Michigan’s Largest Inland Lake

Lake Gogebic hosts a variety of fish species for all types of summer and winter anglers. Walleye, northern pike, perch, and smallmouth bass are the most commonly targeted species, but the lake also is home to pumpkinseeds, cisco, rock bass, crappie, and suckers.

We have an on-site boat ramp, docks, and boat lifts (assigned according to and depending on the size and weight of your boat) available free of charge to our customers. We also have a fish cleaning station with running water available for your convenience.

For those who don’t have their own boat, you can rent one of our many reliable boat and motors by the hour, day or week. You can also try your luck off any of the resort docks.

We have live bait available. Minnows are available in the spring and fall. Nightcrawlers and leeches are available throughout the spring, summer, and fall.

Along with Lake Gogebic, there are many other smaller lakes within a short drive that have excellent fishing for walleye, musky, northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and pan fish.

Lake Superior is just a short distance away and provides great fishing for lake trout, browns and rainbows.
