Lake Gogebic is the largest inland lake in the Upper Peninsula. You don't have to leave the property to enjoy it, and you don't have to go far if you want more.
Summer
Fishing & boating
Lake Gogebic is known for walleye, perch, and northern pike. Use our free on-site boat ramp, docks, and boat lifts, or fish right off the dock. There's a fish cleaning station with running water, and we sell live bait on site: minnows in spring and fall, nightcrawlers and leeches spring through fall. Mornings on the water here are quiet in a way most lakes aren't anymore.
Winter
Snowmobiling
We average around 300 inches of snow a year thanks to Lake Superior's lake-effect, and you get direct access to hundreds of miles of groomed trails. Three groomers run 24 hours a day, so trails are groomed at least once daily. Park at the cabin, pull out, and ride, right onto the lake if you like. There's a free heated repair garage available on request and plenty of open flat parking for trailers and big rigs. March is a favorite: some of the best snow of the season with the least trail traffic.
Fall
Hunting
We sit in the heart of the Western U.P.'s hunting country: deer, black bear, ruffed grouse, waterfowl, and small game. Thousands of acres of public hunting land surround Lake Gogebic, and pressure is generally medium to light. Late-season muzzleloading and archery can be very productive.
Winter
Ice fishing
Once the lake locks up, the ice fishing crowd makes themselves at home. Warm cabin, hot coffee, walleye through the ice. It's the simplest week up north you can plan.
Anytime
Doing very little, on purpose
A cabin week doesn't need a schedule. A book on the dock, a fire at night, dinner on the grill, kids running back and forth. That's most of what people come for.
